Some people like to help by volunteering to be involved in MND awareness-raising, fundraising or administration activities. Others help by organising community events to raise funds for MND care, support and research.

Will you brave the chill to raise awareness and funds to support people facing motor neurone disease? Join the MND Ice Bucket Challenge for its 10th anniversary!

The #icebucketchallenge in Australia is a challenge to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) or ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Back in 2014, the Ice Bucket Challenge, where those nominated dumped a bucket of ice water over their head before challenging others to do the same to raise awareness about MND, became a social media phenomenon.

However a decade later, there is unfortunately still no cure for MND. People living with the condition throughout NSW, the ACT and NT are dependent on MND NSW for their everyday needs – whether it’s assistive equipment, information, education, or support for themselves, their families, and their carers.

Help us be there for people living with MND at every stage of their MND journey by joining the challenge now at https://www.mndblue.org.au/icebucketchallenge
