This full day practical workshop is for health professionals who are supporting people with MND.

The morning will focus on information about MND and symptom management.

The afternoon will showcase some of the communication equipment we have available from the FlexEquip library. You will have the opportunity to hear about the theory of AAC and join in on practical demonstrations.

About the workshop facilitator - Dr Sadaf Warraich

Dr. Sadaf Warraich holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the University of Sydney. Her research in the field of MND focused on investigating the molecular, cellular, and biochemical basis of MND. Dr. Warraich’s academic journey also included a Post-doctoral fellowship in MND research at Macquarie University. 

Beyond her research endeavours, Dr. Warraich has held teaching positions in various education settings. She has recently joined MND NSW’s Education Team as Education Coordinator and will be delivering the MND Upskill Workshop Series for Health Professionals and for Carers of people living with MND.
