The organisers of the Raising Hell on The Mountain Top for Motor Neurone Disease, would like to acknowledge the traditional owners, past and present, and thank them for the opportunity of being able to walk Mount Kosciusko.
The walk will start from the bottom of the mountain in Thredbo, catching the Snowgums chairlift to the top, where the Eagle Nest resturant is located.
The weather on the mountain can be unpredictable, “you never know what the mountain will throw at you”.
Snow drifts are still on the mountain at this time of year. So it is advisable to come prepared. Bring a lightweight wind resistant jacket, gloves, hat and suncreen. Yes suncreen, as one member of the team on a previous walk found, the sun can cause significant sunburn! Layered clothing is the best option.
Please respect the mountain and stay on the grid boardwalk, remember to take all your rubbish home with you.
If you have any injuries, medical/health conditiions please visit your doctor before the walk, to ensure that you can take part in the walk in a safe manner.
